Insufficient Wetting to Lands

On a HASL board that has poor wetting on the pad, consider looking further downstream in the process than your assembly shop. For instance, take a look at the bare boards. Look for solder mask bleed onto the pads. This will show-up on the outside

I have tried this product and one from Kester with mixed results. Just follow the directions exactly. If it says rub the leads with the swab for 60 seconds, do it! Good luck!

Lead free tin copper only

Im using kester easy profile 256 and just this week started seeing problems with the paste being to thick sticking to the sqeeges and not going thur the screen this is not a lead free paste but it is a keester product

The leads on the FPC are pre-tinned on both sides with SAC305. The receiving leads are AU. We coat all surfaces with Kester 979 no-clean flux dispensed via pen prior to initiating the hotbar cycle.
