Jax: Matt works for Sipad. In the past, he has posted questions, often with pix, seeking help resolving production issues, often involving issues with bare boards. He's not pimping his product.

Not an expert on PCB manufacture, but it looks like mask from other side of PCB flowed through vias before this side was masked. Is it possible previous vendor masked this side first, or used film-type mask which would not flow through?

If you're using vaccuum to hold the board, too much vacuum can cause bad print. This generally occurs during snap off. You can either decrease snap-off time of reduce vacuum.

I just wonder anyone had the idea of solderability test for through hole by using a wetting balance equipment? I read the jstd002/003 however my feel is now our machine (metronelec st60) is not capable of this test?

The standard Metronelec Menisco ST 60 can not run a dip and look test for PTH parts. It is an optional feature on that machine.

Tintronics in Huntsville AL can do this. PS I use them all the time for various services. I have no affiliation with them other than being a customer.

Be sure that this component temp during operation does not exceed the low temp of the solder. (it has happened in similar situation) Very good idea though Russ

I would not be concerned about the reliability when doing this, I re-read your post and am familiar with this type of process. Russ
