Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 27 16:50:22 EST 2006 | patrickbruneel

GS I am not a lawyer and the European directive has a lot of grey areas. But if you look at 1.2 in the link I send you it states that when an appliance can still function when the electrical current is off this type of equipment is not covered by di

You wrote "The directive does not state anything about generating electricity"; actually it does do exactly that: Equipment, "which is dependent on electric current or electromagnetic fields in order to work properly, and equipment for the GENERATIO

Thermocouple Design

Electronics Forum | Sun Mar 25 15:38:07 EDT 2007 | Gibbon!

Couple of things. Type T thermocouples are solder friendly. However usually a header with screw terminals poses no problem as the temperature differential is nil. Getting thermocouple leads wet causes problems because two dissimilar metals + condu

Hi lads, I have a problem with asequencer 2596. We had a power cut last week which cut power to the seq. The battery on the controller box was dead(now replaced), which meant the exec file got deleted from machine. Now I can't load it back up again.

MYData issue

Electronics Forum | Tue Jun 19 16:19:34 EDT 2007 | bk

Davef, thnx for your reply. Sorry, forgot to clarify "our normal soldering process". We use standard Sn/Pb & SAC305 for our non RoHS & RoHS requirements. We only have a "No Clean" process, no aqueous flux is used. Hence our flux will be mild. As susp

End of oven card detector

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 12 08:25:45 EDT 2008 | sumote

We have had a few circuit cards come off the end of the oven and get damaged. Most cards have no problem sliding onto a ramp, but a few don't fare so lucky. Has anyone had any luck using a motion detector with an audible alert? I tried google, but I

Electronics recycling

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 17 11:02:13 EST 2009 | patrickbruneel

This is a sad story but has a rather easy solution. 21st century toxins need to be recycled in 21st century facilities and not in a 17th century environment such as that village in china. The lead in the electronics they recycle is not the biggest pr
