We are building seven different assemblies that have flex circuitry that go off in four different directions within the panel. The panels are square to facilitate flow through smt & wave solder and depanilized in solder touchup. Currently, we are usi

Just be careful on preheat. They tend to be weak on those small low cost machines. How well they work for you depends on what type of boards you plan to run. Large thick boards or high thermal mass boards will not likley run too well. Take boards to

Dear Anshang38, I actually don't have a profiler in order to get a new profile. I adjusted the machine once a coulpe years ago and did all regular maintenance and cleaning and it kept working fine until some weeks ago. I've changed all the flux and

We will wave solder a board with SOIC14 and SOIC16 parts on the bottom. It has been difficult to find any specific wave solder process recommendations from manufacturers of the SOICs. The pad geometry utilizes theiving pads on both sides to reduce br

Oops...just noticed you were referring to wave soldering. We'd still suggest a water-soluble flux, instead of the no-clean; especially at wave soldering. Also, checking pre-heat temps, and dwell time on the pot. Is the wave a chipper wave? If not

Kyung Sam, Justin is correct, there is definately either a board design problem or the PCB maker issue. Obviously there are many mixed technology boards built in the world so I would lean towards a design issue as the root cause. Should you or you

Mike, What is the most common method for monitoring and calculating machine capability for: - Reflow oven, I currently run a carrier monthly to monitor its temperature profile and would like to simplify the process. - P&P machines: We don't have a

Hi, We have the Soltec Delta C. It works well, and is very stable. I think the software is a bit simplistic, but it keeps the wave stable, so that's the main thing. It's the timer on the software that I find annoying. It has a warm up time, and yo

| We run stiffeners on all of our product through our wave solder process and most of our product through our reflow and adhesive cure oven. The problem is we continually put on and take off stiffeners because of poor reliability of stiffeners stayi
