We use SnPb paste and bar with leaded and non-leaded component finishes. The predominant finish on components we use is Tin, there are a few NiPdAu. We've had no problems with the component finishes used in the SnPb process.

Does a newer model Camalot 1414 Adhesive Dispenser have the ability to import XY data? Has the program been updated for Microsoft Windows or is it still MS-Dos? Thank you

Newer 1414 machines can have X-Y data imported, but you'll need the Aegis CircuitCAM program. Contact Aegis at http://www.aiscorp.com

I was asked to get our phillips topaz suited up with an internal tray feeder. The problem is I can't find one anywhere. Is there any clues as to where I might find one?

You should still be able to buy one from Philips. I think they cost aroud $2,500 new. I think we may be willing to sell one. If your interested e-mail me at cmiller@adltech.com

Are you referring to a feeder or just a platform to place trays on? I'm looking at a used Topaz purchase right now and am trying to make sure I understand the language. Have you tried any of the refurb houses for this stuff?

Jax: Matt works for Sipad. In the past, he has posted questions, often with pix, seeking help resolving production issues, often involving issues with bare boards. He's not pimping his product.

Not an expert on PCB manufacture, but it looks like mask from other side of PCB flowed through vias before this side was masked. Is it possible previous vendor masked this side first, or used film-type mask which would not flow through?

If you're using vaccuum to hold the board, too much vacuum can cause bad print. This generally occurs during snap off. You can either decrease snap-off time of reduce vacuum.
