To connect the DEK printer and the KY SPI you will need to add the SPI closed loop upgrade to your DEK. It is a simple software and cable connection.

Is Downline FMI set to MIU? Is MIU configured (SW3) for correct interface protocol? Is downline cable pinned out correctly?

Doh! but any other 14A+ pluggable terminal block would fit in it's place (compliance permitting), you'd just need to unscrew the cables in the mating half, and change that to the new type on the board.

There may or may not be someone here with direct experience in this matter, but while you're waiting, do you have RoHS Certificates of Conformance from your material suppliers? I would think that's the place to start.

Yes, Steve, we have got the copies of conformance certificates from our material suppliers, however now we want to target the production line. Can you guide me where I can find anyone relevant?

It been a long time. You need special conversion cables, the board stop has to be changed and you have to swap a bunch of connectors on a card.

I also forgot to add that if the proper data was not generated by flexa for the CP6, then flexa will not communicate with the machine. You need to flush the proper and resend using flexa for the communications to work correcty. Good luck!

You never answered my question on the proper data. Do you have a hard copy of the proper data? Is the diskette (if you have it) in Fuji Flexa format? In order for flexa to communicate with the CP6, you must have the correct proper data.

And yes if the proper data is not correct it will give you a error message because Flexa cannot communicate with the CP6.

I believe the x20 and x21 ports are used for smema. There is a proprietary smema end, that connects to those cables. They almost look like parallel port connectors right?
