We had lots of problems with bridging on 15.8mm pitch, QFP17-160 at the start. The board was .032 thick, double sided-six boards to a panel. Here is the problems (not neccessarily in the biggest to little but as i remember them) and solutions that he

Michael- Please when concidering you U-sonic machine, keep in mind possible chemistries Petroferm, Kyzen, Aqueous technologies, and Zestron products. All are good products and all need to be evaluated with your stencils. Depending on your component t

Have you tried doing a reflow of the BGA with the connectors removed? This should solve the question of connector proximity giving you a problem. Also, try rotating the board 90 deg in your rework station before reflowing a BGA. Be sure to rotate th

This defect is there after reflow. My first thought was that the boards had some sort of contamination, too. This is a new PCB manufacturer for this board (they have been making other boards for us). But... why only on the connectors -- why only o

FYI: MPM does in fact offer alternate board support tooling than the vacuum box system. They have the X and Y snugger tooling, which clamps the board and uses magnetic support pins. If you are looking at a used UP2000, check to see what tooling it ha

I am looking for a reflective coating on PCB. I have designed a PCB with SMT type side LEDs and Top LEDs. The light from these LEDs fall on to a lens profile on top of these and get mangnified and reaches the dashboard instrument's pointers. I tried

ran an internet search on "intrusive reflow", out popped various links on the subject. Bob Willis was rather prominent on the topic's links. anyway seems intrusive reflow soldering specs are the same as conventional manual insertion (radial, axial)

Now that is a BIG step. Stencil type: * A metal squeegee is fine with stepped stencils. * A rubber squeegee is fine with stepped stencils. Comments on step stencil "keepouts" are: * Use an ample space around the stepped down component pads that is
