I presume you are looking at low melting point solders. Firstly, I would consider running BOTH sides with the same paste - this will cut down the opportunities for a mix up with rework or retro-fit. Secondly, check that there is a cored wire availabl

PCB becomes darken (yellownish)

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 22 10:01:52 EDT 2008 | robinj

I have seen this problem before. If the color is yellow usually it is caused by moisture left on the boards from poor drying after immersion silver. One of the ways to get rid of this is by dipping in acid cleaner solution. If the board supplier uses

problem in solderability

Electronics Forum | Wed Sep 03 17:09:23 EDT 2008 | glennster

Omid, In some cases we have been able to restore acceptable solderability by dipping the leads (one side at a time) in an active flux and then re-tinning. Usually a good visual inspection after tinning would reveal whether this was going to work.

Try swapping cards in Y1 enclosure. You can swap zero and one or two and three but make sure you change the shunt position and the dip switch settings and see if your problem switches cards. The lithium battery likes to fail on those cards. Reload th

Thoughts are: * 215-220 temperature at the leads is not real hot for leaded assembly. * It's peculiar for component leads to dewet. Sometimes non-wetting occurs along the edge of the lead where the lead is not plated. * How do the leads of a removed

Universal Sequencer, VCD, Radial, or Unimod(DIP installer) machines! We only still have and run our Universal/Berg pinning machine. I can't say they will work any better than humans do as humans will have to run and maintain them though. We did get g

Is there anyone performs solderability evaluation on PCB as a part of receiving acceptance criteria. It's costly to perform any form of physical evaluation whether simple as dip and look or wetting force balance. How do you have control in place to a

It's not easy for everyone to release the PCb to the line without conducting any solderability test. The easist way of evaluating pcb is to dip it into solder bath, But there is no quality issue realted to the pcb solderability in your proess for 1
