Using an air hose to clean stencils

The smallest particle sixe for type 3 paste in 25 microns. This is far to big to remain airborne.Therefore I would suggest to continue to use air to clean stencils as it does clean the apertures effectively.What solvent is used to clean the stencils?

I agree with the others - I just don't see the danger. We've been using air to help clean stencils for decades.

What about trying to clean these stencils with a proper stencil cleaner? This way you wouldn't have to worry about sending anything airborne.

I would also be concerned about spreading solder paste on the walls/floor/equipment downstream of the air. This would then get transfered to hands, clothing and shoes. In turn, tracked out to the rest of the floor/building or even to the home of em

I have experienced the same issue with the repair plus software not saving or displaying images properly when the defects are being reviewed. Have you asked Mirtec about it? What did they tell you? Curious to know.

It is nice to hear that we are not the only one's either. I have been told that sometimes the frames get out of order which can cause the images to be incorrect. Even though we may not have altered the program in any way.

CL, Can you help me out here. We currently have a MV2 and a MV3 and I am wondering if there is an option to move programs back and forth for these two versions. I hope Mirtec thought this through and didn't oversee this option.

It may be a good idea as you suggested to purchase an MVP AOI. You won't have those problems then.
