Pre-heat, pre-heat, pre-heat! Swap out your acetylene with some propane. Problem solved. Throw a potato in your solder pot while your at it...

Could be that your temperature ramp up rate is too fast. This could cause the flux in the solder paste to burn off too rapidly. When that happens, it can expand as it heats up and burns off, causing the solder to get spread out from the pad.

Hi Dave, Thank you for your inputs as they were good suggestions. I however let out one important detail and that this is IMS material and not glass reinforced so I think that there is more bending going on during processing than warping and twistin

There are a few companies out there that manufacture lead forming/re-forming equipment. The equipment can effectively straighten the most bent-up leads. Fancort Industries is one of them, another is Hepco.

Mark, There is a way to read the I/O but without the electrical diagrams I cannot help you with that. When you press the interlock button does it go out? Jerry

That means you are not clearing the interlock condition. Probably a switch has been bumped out of place or sometimes a wire for a switch gets broken.

check if the top plate which is used for tray change is on it's place, also in manual mode you can see on Sig.IO page all sensors status and you can figure out which sensor is activated

Try cleaning the linear encoder reader. I've had dust build up on two of my machines resulting in failure to calibrate. Blowing out the reader heads with gentle compressed air resolved it.
