Wrong Part

Electronics Forum | Mon Apr 01 15:46:35 EST 2002 | stepheno

Do you have double "sign-offs"? I.E. two operators look at each reel that gets changed? That helps a lot. One place I worked had labels made up that had the operator put down what the part was and the time and two sets of initials. What I have nev

Sorry, I wish to remain anonymous so that I am able to ask questions and present responses freely without having individuals I may work with and those that may know me at other companies begin to respond to me directly. I have no problem with corris

Calculating PCB surface area

Electronics Forum | Tue May 14 08:04:58 EDT 2002 | robbied

Hi. Does anyone out there know of a way to calculate the surface area of populated PCB's? We build many different types, and until now have been using a water displacement method, which I believe to be fundamentally flawed. Our technique is to drop a

Profiling board

One more thing I want to add. Don't turn this into some big deal. Its not atom splitting, or black majic.Bottom line is that you are going to be doing some experiments to prove it to yourself and whomever else requires the data. Profiling is time con

First, I suggest that people search the SMTnet Archives in just about every response that I make. Second, you need to work on your DOE jargon * Factors. Independent or input variables * Effects. Results. Dependent or output variables. Third, the

Factory Lighting - specs and measurement ?

Electronics Forum | Mon Jun 17 15:04:08 EDT 2002 | genny

I think I had my units wrong in my previous post - that blueprint job was 6 years ago and fading fast. My level of 700 would have the same units as Dave's level of 1000. This is the metric measurement of lux, vs the imperial footcandles. fc to lux

Hi mate, "no more than 6hrs in the stencil" for us means: 1) we finish setup of reflow oven, P&P m/c, and lastly the printing machine(includes loading of stencil into printer machine). 2) once printer machine is setup, we rip-open the paste Can pr

X outs

Electronics Forum | Fri Jul 26 10:35:20 EDT 2002 | jaimebc

Using white labels on xouts works for us. I prefer to used the machine BBR ( Bad board recognition ) when building multiple arrays with no pattern on xouts. We always run xouts last, therefor, we enable the BBR only to finish the arrays with X on it.

I can't think of any off hand other than the Ersa which is massive and from when I used it a pain in the A*SE to program and keep programmed, you always seem to have to baby sit it. I bet if you asked you could get one, the problem is that forced con

Deleting UNREAD Emails

'The emailer on Cold Fusion came that way and we have been soooo busy trying to make sure the Geary's is gone before the date code comes-up that we just haven't had time for munitia like that.' Well, I'd like to revisit that decision, given: * Volum
