I would definitely try a more agressive flux. Are you using a W.S. or No-Clean? And of course check the usual preheat temp flux application dwell time immersion depth

All, I am trying to assertain if our Dross Formation on the Wave Solder Machine is in line with others. I estimate that we generate about 30 kgs/monthly in a 550kg bath. Any replies appreciated. aj

Hi, That would be interesting. We are running SN100C and it's as good lead wave solder from our experience, and some people have competed on it here on the forum, but no one has reported they are using SACX yet, so it would be good to know anyones e

and also that most connector/PTH component vendors test their components with immersion temperatures of around 260 degc & they do not preheat the components, so it does not mimic the heat in a typical wave soldering operation
