8" ). For calculation of the theta angle, the global fiducials should be placed over the diagonal. Component recognition can be improved if your vision system has different light zones. The steep light should be turned off and the flat light turned

Is the stencil opening rectangular? Home Plate? What is the spacing between the pads on the stencil for the component?

The courtyard around a 0603 resistor should be: * 0.008" along the short edge of the component / pad * 0.036" along the long edge of the component / pad As you say, the component courtyard should be larger than the spacing between features, becaus

| A buddy of mine has problems after depaneling double sided pre-scored PCB's. Resistors near the edge, after put into the slice and dice machine contain micro cracks. He's checked for them before and after depaneling. We figure it is the sectioni

The melting of the solder during reflow itself can center up or skew a component. This could be pad size differential, incorrect pad size, unequal solder deposition amounts, pad spacing in reference to component size just to name a few.

Hi! Can anyone tell me what is the min spacing between PCB edge & land pattern to avoid cracking of components due to mechanical stresses caused while depaneling with cookie/pizza cutter. Thnx!

sometime hand solder can cause also. no necessary have to be paste n reflow.:) now i'm facing bridging on 0402 components pads. any suggestions on spacing distance as we're going to re-design the pcb.

Davef, You have a good question. If we had perfect design engineers out there that would use the proper component spacing and not put SMT parts between and around thru-hole parts - glue and wave would work perfectly. I have done this with great su

Hi all, Assuming that i were to design a PCB and there are multiple components, what is the minimum spacing required to ensure that i won't have problems in my SMT process later on? Also, is there a minimum component stand-off height spec as well?

We are manufacturing a PCB that uses an integrated circuit that has a leg spacing of 10 mils, other components on the PCB are 1206's and 0805's. Is it possible to make the stencil apertures 10 mils apart or is there another way of making the stencil.
