Has anybody heard of a shield to shield the cutter from flying leads during hand cutting of through hole components. If it collected the leads also that would be helpful. I am thinking of plexiglass or something that the board could be placed under.

The nozzle shafts are different (and windmill/ head), cutter blades and assy. are different, that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Also slightly slower than a CP64. I believe the 65 and 65000 are the same.

Dose the tolerances for the cutting blade and anvil on a HSP-4792 allow for sharpening. Replacement blades are over 2k$ and Universal tells me that tolerances wont allow sharpening. Can a percision sharpening shop be reccomended. Thanks in advance fo

Many parts falls around the tape cutter no mather the size or type. Also many times the machine misses some picks. But when doing a placement test with a single dummy part, 99% good.

Precisely why I run like hell at the sight of a salesman. Though some are actually pretty knowledgeable engineers (these folks are not the cookie-cutter catalog pushing guys).

I have a tool room that I can have fixtures made. The product or board has no budget to buy a cutter.

We used to affectionately nickname our "roll blade" equipment.... A very technical term.... THE PIZZA CUTTER!

Agree with Cmiller. We had a similar prob. with some caps. on a v-scored array. We bought a pizza cutter depaneliser and the problem reduced. It's a "FKN Systek" if you want to look at models.
