Ground straps and dress shoes

If your budget allows, there are dress shoes made that are ESD safe. This would preclude the need for the straps, and the hassle of having to keep track of wearing them.

Leather is not very insulative. AFAIK a lot of good quality dress shoes are naturally ESD safe. (or maybe test too low.) Check the dress shoes with a tester. And I'm guessing that stapling the straps is out of the question.
