hey all, I had a comically bad failure yesterday while working with my pick and place, a part got dropped at exactly the wrong moment and flung a bracket up into the tool path, severely damaging the hydra controlboard that is next to the x camera. T

llllGodly, I did try before, but it wouldn't pick it - it will automatically select a tool for the single head. Do you think it has something to do with the fact that IO used ODD SHAPE recognition?

Package screen and select the package you have programmed for the capacitor. Next press F3 to edit accelerations. In the popup screen set the X and both Hydras to low or lowest. That should accomplish the slow motion you are after.

I am assuming that these are the round aluminum electrolytic caps. The problem may be that they are too wide to put on 2 hydra heads next to each other. Plus the hydra heads are not that great at placing tall parts. I would not let the hydra place th

Bruce, I have different size electrolytic caps. Most of them should be no issue to pick 8 at a time(5-6mm) Can't I decrease the speed of the head when placing these parts? I would love to place slow motion 8 parts at a time than going 8 times with t

Depends on the size of the elec cap and the nozzle set you have. But if you can pick it up, the wrinkle on the top of the cap can be a PIA. All you need to do is make sure the cap is being taken over the line-scan/hydra camera to center only (no mec

If you haven't resolved this yet, I think you're going to want to go to either the part or the package (I'm not sure which one off hand), and make sure that the hydra heads/tools are selected for placement. You'll also want the vision set to the lin

Rob, Thanks for the feedback,we've been running Mydata since 95' and within those 10 years I think we might have seen enough from them. Granted our machine is still in tip top shape we just plan to get something a little more faster and cheaper. Myda
