| Does anyone know of an AOI system that can look at the solder joints of SMT chip devices (1206,0805 & 0603) and make a reliable presence/abscence call of the joint on a HASL PCB. A low false call rate (much less than 1%)is required. Any info. fro

We had that problem on our M12. There were a few components that had gotten dropped into the camera area as the hydra head past over it. Our MY12 has a knob towards the front of the machine in direct line with the camera. Pulling this knob release

Is anyone currently mounting 0201's with the Hydra/Linescan combination with good results? We have a My series machine and are currently mounting the 0201's with high res camera. The results are good but it is painfully slow. Thanks in advance for

What are you trying to calibrate? I think you mis-typed...there is no W-wagon. I think you meant X-wagon camera. I have never seen one of these go out of cal. Why do you think it needs calibrated ?

My machine TP9-2U have the same problem. I use the camera to walk through the program and it is off and not repeatable. I think the machine has backlash but I don't know how to tighten it up. Can you help??? Thanks, -Michael

This is the TP9-2U machine and have about 2000 hours on it. When I used the camera to walk through the program, it is not repeatable.

Let me add to the Mydata thing.. TP9-2U=..... TP9UFP=Good MY9=Best TP9 UFPs will place 0402's fine as long as you have black tools and run them across the camera. This method is slow but it works.

Check the reference plate on the hydra to make sure it is not cracked or delaminated. I have had problems with the glue coming loose and the plate flapping causing this same problem. check hydra camera calibrations, this to may help.

I have very limited experience with agilis but I know they use them currently. I am definitely not a fan of the older Hydra heads. There were many problems with them mechanically and with the camera.

In calibration menu - I see coarse measurement of z unit offset, z-unit offset, measure hydra camera z level, coarse adjust hydra tool offsets, and measure hydra tool lengths 1 - 8 - would it be any of these that I should run?
