Hello friends , What is the extent of Probe mark allowed on a assembled board ? Is there any related material on net or standard .Recently we had an issue where the ICT was done and the joints on which the pins were tested had dents on the joints

Rob, I couldn't write it better, really sometimes we mess up a pristine surface mounted pcb with the nasty ol'flux, but anyway a flying probe is that a set of needles touching a pristine surface of a pcb, to test different components, try in youtube

Yes we do have a problem with this. We have by now investigate numerous lead/RoHS PCBA:s The RoHS boards are by far the most difficult one's to probe and test. Our people at the "test area" including Flying Probe and ICT they spend a lot of time to t

See Fiske first line. I'd bet You are bending or catching the assembly in the ICT. How many probes at 8OZ each? do you use on that ICT? 800 probes = 400lbs. See "Flexure induced failure of BGA solder joints" by Compaq Houston TX

Oh, another thing, we do not like to probe copper. It's hard, compared to solder, and beats-up the probes too much. [As Patrick Bruneel states in this thread.] Consider reflowing paste on your test pads.

Yes, probing via is perfectly acceptable. Via: * Pad diameter is 0.028 inch * Via pitch minimum is 0.50 inch ... all of which is fairly common, even when probing test pads. [Your English is fine, at least as good a half the English speakers here.]
