If you are using a well maintained chip shooter, you should not see more than 1%-2%, and that is on the high side. Most pick and place machines (depending on what they utilize) with laser, vision, mechanical centering will most likely reject a diffe

There is quite some difference with a fixed head versus a head mounted to a X/Y gantry. If the head can move, feeder tables and board are fixed. If the head is fixed, feeder tables and board have to move. Spinning a component around on a vacuum nozz

The pressure sensitive tape is used as an alternative to heat sealed cover tape. It works usually quite well and is easily applied by the taping machine, but it can create some problems in the tape feeder. In the Surftape, Cal is referring to, the c

We use this too and found that the Jig is very useful. We saved the money in a month, because of our old feeders (250 of them) mis-feed. You adjust and replace the neccesary parts, so that the cross (in the monitor) is in the center of the metal cal

I have used MyData's in two different companies, and have never used the Samsung machines. MyData's flexibility is, generally, key. The feeder designs allow for short strips to be loaded, as well as rapid change-over. The electrical testing capabi

Apart from recommending a placement machine since I dont know you product, part mix or tact time; I would just like to point out a few other things to consider when choosing a different placement machine. Feeders are a big thing. Mydatas are good

Do the math first. 10,000 boards a month means 440 boards a day (roughly, and not including weekends). Do you plan 2 shifts or only one? If one, you need to produce a board about every minute if you work an 8 hour shift. If all 110 parts are on on

Regarding a Fristch semi (using tube feeders on the left side and 200 bins on a rotary belt. From working with one about 3 years ago, we found that we had an average of 240 components per hour placed versus 320 without. The difference being that you

We just went through the same comparison shopping for our company -- and we ended up choosing Juki machines -- as our comparison was between a MY9 with a hydra head and the Juki 2010 & 2020 combo. Both machines have excellent software packages and ar
