Hi Ramon, We have had this problem before on our Seho Wave Solder Machine. We are currently using a spray fluxer as well. By imersing the PCB into the flux you stated you are getting good results. What you need to do is check your spray patter

Angle of board on wave

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 21 10:02:18 EST 2005 | Steve C.

We have 2 different wave machines. An Electrovert with a foam flux and a Vitronics with a spray flux that is no-clean. We started noticing on the Vitronics that we were flooding inside the wave fixture. After further review we noticed that the angle

If you have another container of flux that is a different batch try that. Dont forget to clear lines of old flux. check spray pattern width. The activators needed may be dead in flux.Since it is sudden my question would be what just changed?

PCB residue after wave solder

Deni, You also need to check if your flux is properly wetting the board. Flux dewetting on the surface can also cause webbing. You can check that with spraying flux on the board surface and watch the wetting behavior. Patrick

Securing components for wave soldering

Try spraying flux on top of the loaded PWB when you put it on the conveyor. The tackiness of the flux does a pretty fair job of keeping the axial leaded parts down to the board. This takes more cleaning, but it has worked wonders for me on assemblies

Solder beads and wave soldering

Thank you all for your input. The MF300S Multicore flux is rated for lead free. There is not much dross or contamination. We are using nitrogen. I've tested the boards with the curing test of IPC-TM-650. I think you're all right about the preheat.

Excess wave flux on lead free process

Hi, We are running lead free at wave solder now and the spray flux system is down. If we are going to able the flux manually, what problem will we be facing with the excess flux able. Appreciate for the advise.

SMT Solder paste and wave flux evaluation

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 28 01:56:32 EST 2005 | Chua

Hi, I could like to find out what are the things need to look out if I'm doing a new SMT solder paste ( water soluble & no-clean ) evaluation. And also flux ( spray type ) for wave-solder ( water soluble & no-clean ). Appreciate for all the input..

contamination problem on boards after wave soldering

Electronics Forum | Wed Jun 17 16:08:37 EDT 1998 | upinder singh

We are facing a problem of high contamination on boards after wave soldering. We want the contamination to be under 24 ugm/inch square. We are using a no clean flux with the spray fluxer unit of wave soldering. The contamination is higher on the end
