Hello experts, would you please share what kind of dross reducers you use or used and you are happy with? We don't use any, and I am interested in implementing one.

The best way to clean after soldering is to develop a "no clean" process and save the cost and labor of cleaning. Also a "questionable" way to develop clients is to post scenarios that appear to be real when in fact you are trying to generate busin

Have you thought of contacting these people: http://www.solder.net/ I have a feeling they may be quite close to you geographically.

Rob, Even this Yank got that British humor. I guess the guys at Business Electronic Soldering Technologies are not very busy lately. All of these thinly veiled advertisements they are posting here just makes me not want to use them. Jerry

I'm wondering what can we learn from an X-Ray analysis of solder joints - specifically, non-BGA joints (through-hole & SMT) joints.

No clean is giving us problem in ICT. Other than that, a coating of flux should remain there to pretect the solder joint from the environment. In general you should not clean NO clean - it is supposed to be there.

For low volume hand assembly, deionized water or IPA should work fine.

Tried it years ago, didn't like how it turned the pot brown, don't remember it impressing me with how it worked either.

Just 2 cents, lead free flux residue is no clean?, how about leaded flux? how much flux residue it leaves on both types? is there a clean up procedure after wave solder? or is there a wave solder process?
