Is that a 3 stage conveyor or a single stage? If it is a single stage, your sensor doesn't work, because your motor is already turning. If the input stage is separate you have two options - sensor or motor. Just check them both for proper functioning

Some pick and place machine manufacturers offer dual lane feeders which may double the machine's feeder capacity. What are the pros/cons of using dual lane feeders in a high mix environment? Are they just for 8mm? Thanks!

Single feeders will always be your top choice. Any kind of package feeders will create issues in future. I used to have them in 10s, 8ths, 6es, 3s, 2s and the more they are the worst.

We utilize socket receptacles, typical part number is 147444-1 from TE. These come to us loose and they have to be inserted to the PCB by hand. Does anyone know of a way to get these receptacles into the pick-n-place machine to automatically place

We have, in the past, made our own trays for loose parts and put them in the tray tower. Of course someone has to put the parts into the tray so you may not be saving any labor but the machine placement should be faster. BR, Mac

We are running a MyCronic My100. We are also concerned about hole accuracy. So far little steps at a time.

do you see signs of contamination or oxidation? if not why not just send them to the board house and have another OSP coating layer applied?
