Hello Experts, is it acceptable in IPC standard to have two drill hole on a single pad overlapped? soldering and reliability wise ? intent is to solder two parts in parallel together. Thanks for your comments.

We are setting up a PCBA mfg facility in China. Is there a document that exists (maybe IPC spec) that shows overall facilities setup that is recommended ? Ex. ESD flooring, environmental controls etc. Thanks, Alan

I am looking for a good way to estimate assembly times per board. We currently use an engineer who looks at the BOMS and gerbers, but are looking for an alternative. Any formulas or software recommendations would be helpful.

Is there any way you can change the speed of how fast the head moves when placing a part?

Yes, you can. However, if you go above designed, limits you might either break something or it won't operate as you expect. There are settings for each servo loop on the machine and you can play with acceleration, speeds etc. Not sure that it's smart

I am also interested in this but to slow one of our machines down- it stops too quickly and shakes the machine more than I would like. We are running GSM1's on OS/2 and uic sw 3.3.

I'm trying to identify the type of pluggable terminal block used on this circuit board. Any help greatly appreciated

That's brilliant thanks, you can imagine all the spec sheets I've gone through trying to find them.

Doh! but any other 14A+ pluggable terminal block would fit in it's place (compliance permitting), you'd just need to unscrew the cables in the mating half, and change that to the new type on the board.

I've sourced a company called Camden Boss that has stock, they're sending me one. Very nice lady called me from the company this morning.
