Wondering how good the software is for the Quad QSA 30 is. Is it a pain to program? We have panels with 100 boards... 1500 parts, I hope you don't have to manually teach the whole panelized board. Any other info you can provide is welcome. We

Multiple reflows

Hello folks, we would in certain cases run a PCB second time through reflow. I never trusted a board that is reflowed multiple times and I wonder am I really right? Can we reflow boards multiple times? What are the limits? Does it depend on the PCB

Multiple reflows

Thank you guys. You keep adding valuable information here. I think we will try to stick with the 3 times reflow(if we count the BGA repair as 2 reflows). However sometimes we will run the board second time through the oven(just flux the suspect part

I would consider wave solder as a cycle, in that for the most part the entire board is subject to the wave. Selective Solder is a gray area in that regard, since you will be hitting one or more locations, that in total do not comprise a large percen

How SMT Line Change over is measured?

Yes but if you start measuring it from last board into the oven and don't measure run time then that last board of the previous run might just sit a while before going into the oven... All I"m saying is be careful how you set your metrics, people do

Component placement

1) I think maybe not, however having said that, our conveyor does not work between the final placement machine and the oven, in the early days before I became a "experienced" operator in pulling the board out of machine running it along the track to

Quad IVc AutoProgram

I copied a program to a floppy and compared that to the files that were in my AP board directory and they are identical. In your board list directory (on your AP machine) look at picks.asc and places.asc and see if there is any good looking data the

Board oxidation... should I belive...?

Hola Jorge I can't make-out the corrosion on your board. Do you have a better picture? Since your fab told you not to worry, in that, did he / she describe the corrosion and it's source? On your base question 'should I ...' In the works of Ronald

This is what the manual says about this message : Power Failure Detected A main power failure occurred and the machine is being powered by the UPS. All heaters are shut off immediately ad the conveyor clears all boards If main power is not restored w
