It is usually done differently. Sensor is in the solder. Once solder becomes goes below the sensor, it triggers you need to add. I believe it measures temperature rather than distance.

Most select solder machines I've dealt with use conductance sensors to detect solder.

Hi, I am having a issue that SMT nut drop after reflow. The solder height all in specifications. Had tried adding flux inand the solder paste. But shows no improvement. Is the nut easily oxidize? Can anyone help me on this?

Hi Victor, The part drop after the first side reflow itself. The part seems like didn't catch solder.

Hello We are working with inspection Omron machine (VT-S730), we have cycle time problems with some models. Does anyone know why this happens? Months ago, the cycle time was fine, but now it is so high and our production is less. Thank you
