Seems like a file was corrupted on the hard drive. Hopefully you have it backed up. We take a hard drive image of every machine on delivery in case of a hard drive failure or corruption.

Its pretty retro, but we keep then in a filing cabinet(s). Gestapo style index card storage would be even better (smaller)

I would start by checking the caps on the PC board. I used to have the same machine & they would fail every few years which could cause some random errors to appear on times.

I would think that it would be the readings you get from known calibrated samples. i.e. you get samples to test with known values and you test them and see if you get the correct values. Don't rule out your customer not knowing what they are asking

How can I bypass the " Hydra force sensor can't calibrate" during the "Hardware Initialization" test. This is stopping me from starting the machine.

the glass is to keep dust out. Now that it is off the dust is already in. Leave the glass off and just run it. If you have a problem 6 months down the road then take dry air and blow it out.
