Question about leaded parts used in leadfree soldering process

Electronics Forum | Fri Apr 07 14:37:56 EDT 2006 | muse95

Yes, sorry, I have no detailed experience with wave-soldering. Probably if you use Pb components with Pbfree wave, you risk contaminating your wave solder pot. I don't know how much it would take or what all the dangers of that are, other than the

Hi All, I am currently looking at ways to reduce Dross on our wave process. One tool that I came across was the Pulsar Solder Saver. Its hand held and kinda sucks in the dross -returns the good solder to he bath and drops the powder on top of the P

Hi Jon, Thanks for that. I seem to be having a problem getting a unit on Trial. I have plenty of access and my main priority is to reduce the amount of dross (or may I say Solder) that we send back as Dross, I am based in Ireland so I have to go t

We have the IQ system. The problem that I was having is that when I load one board to the other, I want to avoid the table top changeovers. So I figure if I can make certain tabletops to run certain boards the changeovers would be much less. I though

I do not know what kind of products you assemble but don't forget about the cycle time. You probably could accomplish more and faster with a custom nozzle (solder fountain style)for a specific application than point-to-point soldering as laser. I eva

We have been using this new jig for almost a year now, and I can tell you, there is a big difference in our CP's performance before and after the use of the jig. We run a lot of 0402 and 0603 parts. Our downtime has decreased since the very first day

Have done some rework on BGAs but what kind of minimal pitches/solder balls you dealing with and what kind of volume of rework you planning to do on it? You can get a fancy one which is almost fully automated with alignment so on, others you need t
