David, I've thought about doing this also with no clean boards that were poorly cleaned following a misprint (and subsequently reprinted, populated, and reflowed) but have shyed away because of the potential for damage to components from the ultraso

Hi guys I am having problems with skewed placement of 0402 devices I would like to add the board has raised pads and we are placing on glue. We are now printing the glue rather that dispensing with a GL5. have any of you guys had this pro

Cant comment on the Volumetric LSM [although a little voice makes me want to say: someone commented positively on it in an earlier thread. Check the fine SMTnet archives]. The 300 LSM is expensive and has a lousy gauge R&R, but other than that, it

The obvious difference between 2D and 3D is that an accurate volumetric measurement can only be obtained with a 3D measuring system. Laser line measurement in 2D does not allow accurate volumetric measurement. If you modify the aperture in a stencil

Mark, We print and dispense with Amicon "D 125 F". Solvent used is Electrolube "SSS", which is also used for solder paste removal/pcb cleaning for misprints and rework both manually and ultrasonically. I like it - good stuff but at $25 AU per litre i

As I mentioned in the previous string we are happy with Electrolube "SSS". The guy who built our ulrasonic cleaners recommended it and it works very well. You don't have to change tanks or machines for a switch from paste to adhesive. It doesn't leav

Im using Zestron's Vigon sc 200 in our ultrasonic cleaner. It works great for cleaning our adhevises and pastes (RMA and no clean) from stencils and misprinted PCBs. We used to use a saponifier which did a terrible cleaning job and was a real pain t

Can you tell me a little bit about the Zestron product. How many stencils do you clean and much Zestron do you use per month? What is the cost? Do you mix it with water? If so, what temperature? How do you get rid of the waste? Thanks. Kerry

5 stencils/day. Not sure of the cost, it is high, but I only use a little each month so it is cheaper than the 50+ gallons I was dumping out each month of the old stuff. Mix it with water and use at room temp (dont have any eaters).Dont create any
