Re: Rosin versus water soluble flux

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 03 10:56:46 EST 2001 | Mike Konrad

Hi Dave, Water soluble flux has two opposite attributes. #1: It is the easiest flux to remove. #2: It is the worst flux to leave behind on a board. As for # 1, there are many de-fluxing systems out there that are very capable of removing water

tombstoning after wave?

Ok fellas, tell me how you'd fix this! I'm having melf connectors that are tombstoning in the wave, NOT the reflow, the wave. I've never seen this before. All other parameters are the same...solder, preheats, placements, the board, building humidi

Nick, In siemens terms: Fuji has the ability to check "ink spot" which I assume is what you are doing now. The only difference is the vision capabilities between the two machines. You do not have the freedom of siemens type gray scale with Fuji. Yo

Re: White residue on PCB's

Looking at the original post, it seems that the white residue is formed on the board after wave soldering and becomes evident when it has been left standing for a while. From what I understand, it seems that the solids content of the "no clean" flux
