woow, slow down hot rod, hey davef, you are alright by me, good to see some one out there that has hands on experience rather than a theory nut.... any how, you need a top of the line profiler, super gold mole, or Kic.... these truly are the best and

Our past experience with Frost and Sullivan is that they derive most of their data from interviews with the subject companies and press releases. That puts them a half a notch above asking the sales reps for info (except with F&S, the total won't be

Your recommendation is appreciated - Humidity Range for the SMT

Electronics Forum | Mon Nov 06 22:01:44 EST 2006 | realchunks

Why a clean room? Or do you mean an environmental room to control temp and RH? Any way, to answer you question, your wave and oven can care less about RH. Just don't keep them at 100% RH. Static can easily be handled with lower RH and proper grou

Ways to control SMT gap to PCB

Most likely there is movement during reflow. How about conduction oven over convection oven for reflow? This is a small PCB with the LED sitting on a Flex-Rigid extension from the PCB. I was thinking if the stencil aperature for the LED was to be cu

Solder FINES vs. Solder Balls

Electronics Forum | Wed Apr 14 13:37:56 EDT 1999 | Mark Charlton

Can someone explain the difference between solder "fines" and solder balls? Is there an official specification where "fines" are defined? What is the spec for "fines"? I consider "fines" individual unmelted metal spheres that are found in solder

I am a Manufacturing Engineer working on a new bid. Please help with my question about a new process that I am unfamiliar with: The Assy that we are quoting involves a SMT PCA that is soldered to an aluminum chassis. All surfaces of the chassis that
