Electronics Forum | Mon Apr 07 04:33:43 EDT 2003 | Neil

Iman, How long after washing the boards do you process them? Are there any vias or Micro vias on any of the pads you see the blow holes on? A possible cause of a blow hole in a solder fillet or PCB is the escaping of Moisture under extreme temps. Th

Hi Yes to your stone question. This pretty much goes with any flux change. Yes to the proper solvent for the flux you choose. Check with the Kester Data Sheets. Kester should have some application sheets which include some No-Clean information.

Hi Notice they do call out that you should use their thinner. In the MSDS you get a clue as to the thinner they are mostly using with some additives. http://www.kester.com/PDF%20FILES/PDF%20Data%20Sheets/E%20No-Clean%20Fluxes/951%20(30Mar98)logo.p

Barry Echoing an earlier poster, replace your stone. Use the suppliers' recommended thinner. Do NOT use isopropanol [IPA]. IPA contains water. Water is the bane of low residue soldering. It will get you in trouble fast. From IPC, get your hand

I don't know too much about Fuji, but I'll try myself anyhow. How is the coplanarity unit communicating with the machine controller? Attach a logic analyser, second listener or data analyser and "listen" to the communication with the machine contro

Thankyou Stefan, somehow the Laser sensor and controller are addresed to the IP, but it seems the results are simple as an OK or some codes when the part is out of specs, those codes appears on the monitor in the machine just for a while, likely the
