One expense reduction is to order parts from SMTXTRA. I am not affiliated at all with them; however, I buy from them as much as possible. Usually 30-40% price difference from Panasonic. Example is the waste bins for Panasonic NPM's-$183.49, Last time

Maybe it is all what you get use to. Our assemblers like the vacuum pen. Since we do more than passive components, some parts would be difficult to hold and line up. As for as our Fristch, we use it as a manual and just have our bins on the side.

Hey Mike- We ran into the same thing when we purchased a Large CanadianManufacturers repair business. We were creative and first used an ESD bag cut open (Simulate the paper idea) then we used a 3M parts bin and would tip it on its corner to funnel t

How do you guys store loose components for repair? Currently we just have bins with little labeled paper envelopes filed numerically with loose components in them. When an envelope goes empty, the repair person locates a reel of the same parts and

Hello all, I am just curious as to the recovery # people are using on their Fuji chipshooters. One of my co-workers insist that we should run on E-stop. I tell him that we should run on 2 or 3 times and operators should be expected to watch the dump

Hi, That's the problem, and in one case it wanted to put 6 reels of 10K resistor, when we only had 10 on the PCB. It really only needed 1 extra feeder, but decided to fill all extra 15 feeders in the bin, so setup is hell. It might think that's a go

Hi, I would agree with that, and the second hand prices for a TP-9 is very low, and they use the same feeders as the MY series, so if volume ever increases there is an upgrade path. TP should be able to handle any component, and because they can p

Are you seeing many of the components in the reject bin of the machine? If it is feeder related I would expect to see some rejects unless the part is jumping and landing in the same orientation i.e. 3 leads on same side everytime! Other than that I

Hi Bert, It can be either - sometimes they put too much glue on the cover tape when it's sealed, and sometimes the feeder is not stong enough. We would get a lot of these on our fuji's after a shutdown, and they would diminish throughout the first

I have only used the Quad 4C, We bought it used and ran good right out of the box without the need for repairs. It uses quadaline and does not work very well on IC's. We place 30K 1206 parts a week with a 4 % dump to bin. I have to tolerance set to 3
