I am designing a tape and reel system for a customer that want automatic reel change. Are there any products out there for automatically changing out the reels on a tape and reel machine?

Never assume static is static. We recently encountered something similar to what you describe. It turned out to be microscopic threads of glue (PSA from ther cover tape) over the pocket.

I understand what he means. But has he confirmed that an unusual situation is what is really occurring, or is what happens at every other company happening there? It is very common to have part droppage. Look at all the threads on the subject here.
