Josh: Final cure of the LPI solder mask: 310*F for 45 minutes. Your board fabricator needs to do a better job. Most fabs do not check cure, because the processes subsequent to cure are so brutal that the fab expects the following process to highlig

Silicone contamination could appear as fisheyes or dark spots under UV light. 1A33 can be heat cured but is a single component oxygen cure coating - it needs a source of oxygen to cure. An unvented oven may slow or limit the cure. Check out the TDS

We have been using a VOC-free, no-clean flux on our boards that we conformally coat with no problems. We're using both a UV cured and a heat cured Silicone conformal coating. One thing to beware of is inhibition in the silicone. We found that out t

Eric: Ill pass on the uV and ammonia, also. Thoughts are: 1 Youre correct that the temperature/humidity mix can be a big driver to latex peelable solder mask cure time, but dont overlook material thickness. Dispensers put material in a very th

Outside the box: Can you retro your oven with a belt chain combo? I always order my ovens this way just in case. No pallet or carrier needed then. Can justify retro against the cost of the pallet or carrier. Two part epoxy instead of heat cure?

Try "Amicon D125 F". Good for both dispensing and screen printing. I like the yellow colour, it shows up better on green pcbs. Most smd adhesives are single part, heat cured epoxies, UV curing having gone out of fashion some years ago. Amicon used to

hi all. I am looking for a oven which can cure the conformal coating providing heat and the humid atmosphere. I am looking for a temperature range of 60 deg C to 80 deg C and a humidity range of around 80%. Can anybody refer to me the right vendors

Once the HumiSeal conformal coating has been applied to the printed circuit board it is usually best to allow the material to reach a touch-dry stage, before heating the board to accelerate the cure schedule. This avoids potential problems such as bu

As Emil says, it's 100% the glue! Your paste is not designed to hold parts on at wave solder. Reflow is MUCH hotter than glue, so I doubt you're not adequately heat-curing it. Possibly, the glue cure is "too hot" and maybe making the material brit

SCC3 has an operating temperature of 200C, as long as it is heat cured at 100C. https://www.electrolube.com/pdf/tds/044/DCA.pdf It's also a silicone so needs to be coated & cured away from anything you value. Otherwise there are plenty of PU's and
