Do I really need a Vapour Phase Oven or a Nitrogen Oven when soldering PBGA's if my PCB has only 2 to 3 BGA's (ball pitch of 0.5mm to 1.27mm) ? Is the quality of soldering when using an 8-Zone Convective Oven is not acceptable? I have been bombarded

Hi, we have a ASSCON VP3000 vapour Phase oven. The touch screen of the display don't work. We have try to use VNC VIEWER to command it, but we can access, we see the display on the pc but no way to control. What can we do? Thank you

Hello Hunzo, many thanks for your detailed reply! By the way, I am well familiar with the smell of Galden liquid that is used in vapour phase soldering ovens. Does ADL have the similar smell?

We recently purchased an IBL VPP-M600 vapour phase reflow oven. We currently only have partial documentation and need to know the requirements for the water cooling. ie flow rate, cooling power etc. We also need the spare parts listing and service ma

We are currently looking at buying a vapour phase reflow batch oven. We currently use an IR convection batch oven and want to know if there is any advantage in switching over to vapour phase?. I've heard that tomb stoning is a common problem do t

If you are doing double sided smt you need to look at a pin chain conveyor on your oven, not just a mesh belt. Regarding vapour phase I'm not an expert, but I've not seen one run with Nitrogen - as I understand it the vapour creates an inert atmosph

Try an experiment where you profile the assembly with 3 consecutive boards in the oven spaced just 1" apart versus just 6" apart and then 12" apart. You figure most ovens have about 12 - 16" heating zones, so for your typical 8"x8" PCB, you'd have w

Hi All, Appreciate any inputs that may be given. Currently i am operating VP6000 Vapour Phase Reflow Oven from ASSCON. Over the last 2 years, we have around 100 different Recipes for many different PCBs. Each recipe is adjusted(6 Different Paramete

You answered your own question! Vapour phase is the way to go for this. Conventional ovens won't allow this, unless you find away to defy Physics. That's an absurd constraint to begin with: 200C. Most Sn-Pb profiles require 205 - 210 minimum for

It obviously isn't recommended but I've had aluminium blocks milled out to fit over & weigh down connectors in a previous company when using vapour phase reflow. I guess the same will work in a convection oven as well. You will have to adjust your pr
