I agree with Rob that voids are often times paste-dependent, and it's all about the type of flux that's used. The cause of the voids, as you all know, is outgassing of flux which has nowhere to go with BGA's. Some paste mfgrs. will recommend going

The challenge regarding the stencil was mostly due to the actual board layout and nothing having to do with the voids in the solder. It was my first encounter with 0.5 mm pitch on BGA and dealing with a LF solder paste with higher viscosity than tha

Bill, Likely the latex isn't conductive, so charges will not be dissipated to the metal rack. Whether that constitutes an ESD risk or not will depend on the generative properties of the latex. I've never tested units inside my wash, so I can't spe

Latex is not a conductor. It's an insulator. So, it will not conduct a charge to the metal wire rack. You can test this hypothesis by charging a latex tube in the shop and measuring its conductivity to ground. We believe that you should not have

Hi Jim Good Day yes we are using a pallet bottom support as well as top cover. The top cover are design such a way that the solder paste area is open. the type of solder is lead free type(Avantec-ecorel free) in one panel consists of 28 parts and e

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has experience of printing solder paste on to 2x2" ceramic substrates.. At present we are using a very old de haart printer with a mesh emulsion screen.. I am looking to replace this with a more reliable mo

Is there anybody out there doing this scenario: SAC 305 Reflow & SN100C Wave and Selective Can the 2 alloys be mixed on 1 board, say, SAC 305 for SMT, and SN100C for thru-hole? Are 2 different rework chemistries needed, or can one use SN100c wire

Does Ekra or MPM require stencil fiducials be filled with Black Max or some other black epoxy? We still require our stencil supplier to do this. I did not have to do this on any Dek solder printers since 1997. Can the MPM UP2000 HiE fiducial light

We have five 1997 DEK 265LTs, and we have never had to have the stencil house blacken any fiducials. The fiducials are etched about halfway through the stencil. You can adjust the lighting in each individual program, not just a global lighting change
