We recommend a ramp soak spike profile for HASL finish, so everything gets nicely heated during reflow, we soak around 180C and peak at 245- 250C and don't have any issues as long as the levelling isn't too peaky.

Hi , I have attached a excel file. Hope it might help you. Excel has SMT defects. Few reflow profiling issues are captured over there. Regards, Ameen

To be in the range of profile for a paste, doesn't mean it is ideal. Check temperature on the Side A components while running side B profile.

Besides correct stencil design, solder paste chemistry can have a profound effect on voiding. People will tell you reflow profiles. I have never in my career seen a reflow profile have any effect on voiding unless it is grossly off.

More detail Jinesh. Profile, datasheet of the part, stencil design, PCB finish, soldering material. Initially I am assuming you use pallet to reflow 0.2mm thick board.

Thanks for your response, yet to try with RTS Solder profiles, Have you any additional comments on this RTS Temperature specifications like Time above liquidus, Peak temperature if any..??

Thanks for your response, attaching the solder profile for your verification. The part NXP Make PCA2002 Micro BGA 8Ball Package.

Who's controlling the cooling rate when profiling? If so, what's the max cooling rate you're trying to hold?

Could you include some info about how the thermocouples were attached (pic) and the resulting profile?

Looks like a decent profile. Only recommendation I have would be to possibly try and high-temp solder the thermocouples rather than the aluminum tape/kapton, only because you can get air-gaps and inaccurate readings using the tape method on assemble
