Hi all, Is there a generic heating element I can buy for this oven? The Heller part number is 682991. They want about $300 for the pair which doesn't sound too bad for me but .... I'm not the one writting the check :-). Thanks

Dave Thanks for the input. The thermocouple read 244 on the pad of the socket. We actually found after extensive investigation that it is the coplanarity of the leads. We were shipped a bad batch of sockets form the manufacture. Go figure!!1

Hello, the best way is to set the oven to cooldown. Opening the oven is not very good idea, but is not a big issue I think, only bad air in the production. Try if you can to make production from glue to Pb free if it is possible.

Why to use 5% color spot in HIC if level 2a-5a are considered bad when 10% is NOT blue ? 10% will be NOT blue(or pink) only after 5% is pink. Then why to keep 5% in HIC ?

Yes, he is correct, it is probably a sensor. That does NOT mean a sensor is bad, just that it has not been activated during a time limit or servo count. Watch what the last 2 or 3 things it does before the error.
