Hi: If anyone have the experience with the PCB pad design and stencil design for the uBGA? We meet the problem for it. The component data is 0.3mm diameter and 0.5 pitch. Could anyone tell me the PCB pad dimension, the stencil type and aperture dimes

Why not quantify the amount of time spent taping apertures every time you want to use the stencil vs. the cost of a new stencil (about $300, usually)? Look for problems that are created by the blocked aperture method - is there rework down the line t

We're with the Ozzy's earlier posting on this thread. We make similar products, like: * Phantom products that are mostly complete and then are configured to order by adding or subtracting a couple of parts and some jumpers. * Version products like y

Igmar: Chrys and JAX make good points. I'd like to add that you should be careful that you don't starve larger chip components of solder when using a 4 thou stencil.

Steve, your comments from your stencil vendor are very interesting. Any decent laser cutter automatically cuts a trapezoidal aperture. This is just the nature of the cutting. We have a bunch of lasers (and chem-etch). You have to polish your laser cu

We measure the thickness of solder paste printed onto PCBs as a control of the printing process. Generally 6 thou stencils are used and give between 6.2 and 6.8 thou. What thicknesses do other users get? Cheers! Mark

Hi! I investigate possibility of manufacturing laser cut stencils. May be someone knows about equipment suppliers for such production (lasers, e.c.t.)? Thank you in advance for your help!

Hopefully this is not a stupid questions but, if you are printing low tech surface mount boards, is it possible to print through a mesh screen versus a stencil? Isn't that the way it used to be done? Like soldermask only stainless steel versus polyes

Has anyone out there had any long term experience with either of these stencil systems? I'm looking for feedback on how the foils hold up, operator interface etc. Thanks in advance. Steve
