Warming up solder paste at start of days production

Hi, It's removed from the fridge, and the tube is loaded into the stencil printer, however it's winter here right now, so it's still quite cold. It's Australia, so when I say cold, that's relative, however the room can be about 10 dec C in the morni

Accuracy Requirements for New Technology

Hi, What are you doing for reflow. Sounds like a cheap MYDATA TP machine second hand might do the trick, but don't know if it could do 0201 though. You can get a fairly ok manual stencil printer that might do the trick. We had one that had a linear

I am curious as to why you need to mix.... We use a 500g cartridge with air gun. Our process is remove the cartridge from the fridge, allow it to warm up to room temperature before inserting into air gun, then apply bead of paste to the stencil. N

Stencil maintenance approaches

Stencil thickness could be 3,4,5,6 mil but stencil is framed on 29 inch frame for SMT printer machine. I want to measure thickness in the center of this frame.

SMT Stencil Aperatures

I worked with our stencil vendor for a about a year tweaking our aperture guidlines for our printer. Of course we upgraded to a better printer and all of that went out the door. Work with your vendor and they should be able to make suggestion as to w

Hi, This is easy. If your just doing prototypes, then you could get by with a syringe of solder paste and a hear gun. You can put down a little solder paste on each page and then place the passives and heat gun the board. If you have other active p

Re: Semi-Automatic Stencil Printing of Fine Pitch

Mark, I had the same peoblem. For my stencils i use a 15% reduction for the width of fine pitch leads only, as Earl said follow the 1:1.5 standard. We consider pitches of 32mil and under. We also clean the stencil every other board to ensure no caki

DEK Printers

A 20 x 20 frame with the image centered will drop in IF you have a printer with adjustable rails for the stencil, the rails move in and out to accomodate 29 x 29 to smaller than 20 x 20. Otherwise, you will need the adapter. James

SMT Stencil Printer Recommendations

I don't have our DEK printer part numbers memorized, In general we have a older machine running NT4.0 . It has 2Di inspection but we never use it because you can only inspect/setup 1 camera shot at once, making for very long programming. Our newer D
