The right paper incorrectly applied can be a problem also. I have seen it on even new Fuji nozzles with the illumination disk bunched up on one side of the tube with a gap on the opposite side.

Don't know about Topaz, but on Essemtec machine using SMC ejector, there are separate solenoid valves for vacuum and release. The connectors are identical and side by side. If these connectors were swapped then I would have the symptoms you describe.

I have always gone with blade length equal to board width plus 2 inches - 1 inch either side. Is there any technical reason that I could not use a longer blade, say 2.5 inches on either side?

Both of the articles talk about pockets cut in the contact side of the stencil that correspond to components [or PTH leads] that would allow PTH first, glue second, and finally second-side SMT placement.

Hi Greg, The board is with immersion silver finishing..One of my friend had the same issue even with PCB OSP finishing.. Besides, no white residue found on the top side... Its only appear on the bottom side but no so obvious... Rgds, Sean

Solder paste & reflow the Bottom side.Use wave solder pallet to isolate the soldered components.

IPC also states that side overhang on a gull wing of 50% is acceptable for Class 2. Does anyone know if that interprets to only one side having a fillet? Also with toe overhang acceptable, there need not be a toe fillet.
