Bluetooth Test

Electronics Forum | Sun Feb 24 02:21:39 EST 2002 | CJ

I work in a test-support role supporting a bluetooth production line. We use HP spectrum analysers in our final test solution and the solution to a lot of our fails is solved by calibrating these analysers. Normally we do both a Freq/Amplitude calibr

Rework Cost Models

Electronics Forum | Thu Apr 11 18:26:30 EDT 2002 | TomN

I know the information is out there somewhere, but I need to find information on cost models that apply to reworking motherboards. I had this task dropped in my lap and Im trying to turn this around quickly. Some background: Products that are diag

Moisture under chip capacitors

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 11 15:23:31 EDT 2003 | Peter L.

I have come across a rash of failed assemblies that have 0805 capacitors and resistors, bottom side glued, wave soldered and washed. Trouble shooter reported touching up the solder joints on a few areas and the boards would pass test. I had a look a

Graphite/Carbon deposit on PWB ( any Industrial Specs?)

Electronics Forum | Wed Mar 11 17:51:22 EDT 2009 | GSx

Thank you so much Dave, by having different lots of PCB received (same Supllier) with suspected and good carbon ink deposit, I found useful to adopt a comparison test among the different lots by usingthe IPC-TM-650 2.4.1 Adhesion , Tape Testing (lik

First Pass Yield

Electronics Forum | Thu Nov 13 12:08:50 EST 2008 | cisridn

I define First Pass yield without any repairs. But I only consider a PCB to need repair if it fails test. Our boards are inspected before testing and any work done before testing, I consider to be rework and is part of the SMT process.

ROSE testing pass / fail

Electronics Forum | Mon Feb 21 20:15:49 EST 2022 | arminski

since IPC-J-STD-001 RevH obsoleted the 1.56ug/cm2 UCL of ionic contamination tester in testing using ROSE test, how do you define the acceptable limit per PCB assembly? thanks

MPM Accuflex "USC park failed" error during initialization

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 01 19:02:48 EST 2022 | proceng1

USC PArk is your underside stencil cleaner. The camera pushes it back and a magnet grabs it and holds it back. Ours did this many years ago. I pulled the rear cover and initialized the machine, when the camera pushes the stencil back, grab it and
