I finally found the answer! I just got back from visiting Smart Sonic out in LA. They have a new chemistry that works great (220-A SMD Adhesive Remover). I took two DEK plastic stencils with me and spread them both with Loctite 3616 and the system

Surface Tension vs Part Mass

Really Rocky? What's the meaning of Russ' "if it will fit" in your scheme? As an alternative to your scheme, he could glue the nut on its side, tie a string through the hole in the nut, attach the other end of the string to the open door, and the

Glue Dispense Process Control

When you say that glue viscosity changes for lot to lot, is this LOT TO LOT of your product OR Loctites product? And when you say that glue viscosity changes, what do you mean [eg, increase by , decrease by , er watt?]. What specifically is th

Re: Ghost circuit shorts under smt resisters only when they are located on solder side of pcb (glued down)

We use uV Dymax glue for thermocouple attach sometimes, but don't like the remainder [anal] and loosing attach, sometimes. Roger Saunders, President Saunders Technology, Inc; said: PRO: These products are easier to use than high temperature solde

Found solder bridging under SMT Chip of Wave process

Electronics Forum | Tue May 23 09:01:21 EDT 2000 | Wirat S.

Dear all friend, I found problem of soldering bridging between SMT Chip terminal & Glue , but under the chip body. My process was double side SMT assembly with bottom side adhesive & heat curing, then wave soldering with water soluble flux (OS type)

Steve, I have to support the comments made by Dave F. Provided the surface mount parts on the second side are correctly orientated and not too close to any adjacent through hole leads then the best option has to be to print glue then wave solder. T

What a challenge! I think it all depends on the equipment used. Seems rereflow of BGA isnt that good (see the advices for wavesoldering BGA populated boards). Although you might check for the tacking force by sending a sample BGA board head over thr
