want to know the tolerance the paste height in the solder paste printing. for example if stencil thickness is 7 mil, what will the acceptance level of paste height ( upper and lower) kindly share if any guidelines or formula for the same

I am still in confusion what does it mean? I simply have a heat pump which is the part of the HVAC in my home. It is not used over here I supposed.

Yes, I fully agree on the pain of traceability and on laser etching. We are aiming to go the laser route in the long run

We do have a CyberOptics SQ3000 that is currently only used for AOI, but I hope to start doing sample 3D SPI with it soon.

Print then dispense in the areas you need extra paste. Why can you not use a stencil which has areas etched away around component patterns to thin the stencil down....for example a 150 micron thick stencil etched to 120 or 100 microns in specific are

We previously labelled PCBs after assembly but before AOI. Now we need to trace panels during assembly as well, so have the need to apply labels before the assembly process starts. Our stencils are thus not stepped to accommodate labels. I suppose t

Emilio, I have a fishbone diagram that I can e-mail to you that shows the MANY variables in the paste print process. There is only one way to determine for certain that the printer is doing it's job, and that is with a true 3D paste inspection proc

I saw your earlier postings on the topic, but am not familiar with Print Pro-E Drawings. Have you tried the common Gerber viewers? Like: * View Mate (View only) - http://www.lavenir.com * CamCAD (View only) - http://www.camcad.com * GC-Prevue (View

First, in direct answer to your question, DOE printer setup variables (MPM): * Squeegee speed: 0.5 to 1.0 in/sec * Pressure (metal): 1lb/in of blade * Pressure (plastic): 1.6-3 lb/in Second, supprting earlier responses, most people monitor paste hei

Measuring solder static paste viscosity is fairly easy to do. IPC TM-650 .4.34, Solder Paste Viscosity lists the method and equipment. Just don't tell your customer that it is meaningless because the solder paste is printed in shear, not statically
