Chip waves are supposed to be turbulant. You have 2 waves, correct? And you're talking about the first wave the board sees, right? What part is not soldering? SOT-23? Yes you should turn your nitro off when not running the wave.

We use Axarel 2200 as recomended by Vitronics Soltec, which is the same as we use on our MPM printes for under stencil cleaning. It is non-ozone depleating and has a high flash point. For insurance purposes we banned IPA from the shop floor some

What do you think about optimal setup for 8-hour working shift and 16-hour standby time. What is the most energy efficient setup for standby time? Complete cooldown or maintaining temperature in solder pot?

All the heat that comes off the machine comes from powering the machine. The more heat that comes off it, the more energy that went into the machine. When the machine is cold there is no heat energy leaving the machine. Therefore complete cooldown

We have the same ovens, our 2 sided boards have the same profile for both sides. Haven't seen a problem in 8 years.

We have 6 Vitronics Soltec ovens. 4 XPM 820's, an XPM 1240, and an XPM3. All of them are great, but we're very impressed with the XPM3, you can't go wrong.

I would still focus on the sensors first. Experiment and see if they are really registering correctly. Still might be a sensor malfunction, timing issue(enough time to register)or some actual debree on it that prevents it from changing state properly
