We have seen a similar problem. Turned out to be mechanical stress on the component caused by the method of location and clamping at ICT. Where is the component located on the assembly? Poorly adjusted clamping pillars on clamshell fixtures can cause

In Ontario it's "safety code 32". We have a radiation survey done at least once a year. To have the manufacturer do it, we have to pay air fare both ways and a hotel. After much searching I found someone local that does them. I ended up finding him

BGA soldering problems

Electronics Forum | Thu Nov 27 10:55:51 EST 2008 | muarty

Hi Steve, Are you actually profiling the BGA itself? By that I mean have you, for example, drilled through the underside of the pcb into the balls of the BGA and attached a probe there? You may find that even although the topside components have a p

We're using a PFC (Product Flow Controller) box by Cogiscan between a conveyor and Agilent SJ-5000 (AOI) and the problem we're having is that when the downline smema cable is connected to the PFC box, the AOI conveyor belt keeps on turning even with

Oops...just noticed you were referring to wave soldering. We'd still suggest a water-soluble flux, instead of the no-clean; especially at wave soldering. Also, checking pre-heat temps, and dwell time on the pot. Is the wave a chipper wave? If not

We ran into this problem before, on all of our models. We never quite found out the reason, we do know that if the PCB is passed through a reflow oven that is extremely dirty with evaporated solder paste flux, it will make it extremely difficult (or

The supervisor password is set and the current password is not known. I need to reset this. Is there a top level password above the supervisor level that can be input to enable me to access the machine data without clearing all the machine data out?

Yes, you are all helping me a lot. I have been doing research as well and although there is no requirement to have a certified tech, we do have to have the machine registered with the DoH as well as have a person trained in radiation saftey who has t
