Can anyone tell me the significance of the EPTSSOP (Exposed Pad Thin Shrink Small Outline Package)? From the drawing it appears to be just a 28-pin TSSOP. Are there any special sensitivities / requirements during PCB assembly? Please help.

The material has to be injected from beneath the component, it's a 240 pin QFP, ideally I wouldn't want the material gong past teh leads as I have to have the option to rework the thing if, perish the thought, it fail's and need's fixed.....

Marlies, The IPC definition, which I think we can trust, says that Coplanarity is defined as lying or acting in the same plane. In other words Coplanarity means no bent legs, pins. Regards, Chris.
