Selective Soldering Equipment selection

What you have is blowholes. Baking your boards prior to soldering will help. Root cause is either barrel plating too thin or barrel cracks allowing laminate moisture to escape. Patrick

Mydata My12 package creation

I am wondering why the PnP manufacturers are not adding more modern part packages to their databases? Let me know what types of packages you are looking for and if I have them I will send you the data, from our database.

Computing Route and Retain tabs

Electronics Forum | Fri Oct 29 23:08:06 EDT 2010 | laen

What software are people using to compute route and retain tabs on panels? I produce some complicated (150 board, 80+ different design) panels, and I haven't found a good way to programmatically compute where to place the tabs. Thanks.

What about trying to clean these stencils with a proper stencil cleaner? This way you wouldn't have to worry about sending anything airborne.

I have experienced the same issue with the repair plus software not saving or displaying images properly when the defects are being reviewed. Have you asked Mirtec about it? What did they tell you? Curious to know.

tarnishing gold surfaces

Electronics Forum | Fri Nov 26 09:01:52 EST 2010 | stepheniii

An independant analysis might also be warrented. And what I've seen is that you can't save money on PCB's. If you go with cheap providers you end up with boards that cost big time in other ways.
