Wow, I cut first cut my teeth in the Industrial motor control industry. My 1st company made motor control products like variable speed drives, solid state overload relays, soft starts, etc. and in our shop, we used nothing BUT Dow Corning silicone p

Thanks to those that responded. I eliminated the light curtain problem. The metal plate the light curtain pcb bolts to was bent. I had it aligned in our machine shop and it worked properly. I forgot to mention the error was pooping up with no fee

We use nothing but silicones and have for at least the last 7 years. We don't have relays, but we do have motors. No issues with soldering, but our lines are constructed such that the last solder operation is a good distance from the coating or pot

Hi , I would think that when you added the new parts, you missed to give them some of the parameterrs and that's why you start to get error messages. Check part parameters(I don't know if you are talking about pick and place machine or some other mac

Hi Jeff, This machine (my unit #2) has a couple programs that execute just fine, but when I added additional mounts to one of them I got the "120"error. When I added another new program, the "118" error showed up, and of course, everything in all t

IMHO I would avoid sprayed silicones like the plague. They can travel around your facility and cause solder wetting issues that you will never know the root cause for. Also found this e-drive article on using silicones around motors and relays. Loo

I've run into mysterious light curtain errors before and what was happening was when the head moved across the top of the components one of the clear tape covers would flutter up and trigger the curtain then it would settle back down on top of the ta
