Hi Bob, From my memory about almost 4 yrs. ago, I remember we did something similar to this in Apple Computer Singapore. Process sequence are: Bottom Side Process: Print Solder Paste(Dek 265GS) Dispence Adhesive (Cam/Alot 3800) Place Components (

Hey there ya'll!! I went and looked at the used equipment page here, and I've also looked around at a few other sites to try and find me a used PTH dynamic solder pot...like a Airvac type of unit. It doesn't have to be as fancy as a Airvac, just

Observations are: * Center most lead of the fuse on the top right of the assembly looks like it has excellent solder flow, but this is PTH. From the amount of solder, it must have been wave or hand soldered. * Center most lead of the fuse on the bot

Interesting, see we used to do a large amount of PTH but we have been able to convert most of those parts to SMT now. the majority of our PTH is connectors. I am doing some research as to the types of through hole assembly that still remain.- This d

Certainly automatic placement, preferably with vision system assistance will yield a more repeatable process. Process repeatability (paste deposition, connector placement, reflow cycle, etc.) will be your key to success here. Another possibility yo

Forgot to include the following: Dwell time is from 55 secs to 68 secs. Indium specs for the paste is maximum peak @ 228'C and 30 to 90 secs dwell time above 183'C. PCB is a 6 layer board with Dimension of 205 x 166 mm but is slightly dense with 11

I have done this in a past life. In my mind this is a step backwards. If all of your parts are placed by hand it will work. You will need to cut at the top of the solder to keep the leads form bending If any parts are auto inserted you will need to c

Oops...just noticed you were referring to wave soldering. We'd still suggest a water-soluble flux, instead of the no-clean; especially at wave soldering. Also, checking pre-heat temps, and dwell time on the pot. Is the wave a chipper wave? If not
